Times for Vancouver follow the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Calculation authorities differ on how far below the horizon the sun must sit for Fajr to begin and Isha to end, which is the main reason published times vary between sources. Canada conventionally follows this authority, and it can be changed from the controls on this page if your mosque follows another.
Vancouver lies at 49.3° north, high enough that in mid-summer the sun may never fall far enough below the horizon for an angle-based Isha to be computed. Where that happens the times here use the angle-based adjustment, one of the recognised approaches for high latitudes.
Asr in Vancouver is shown by the standard reckoning used by the Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali schools, which marks its start when an object's shadow equals its own length.
